12 Week Planner

     The planner is primarily used to deliver twelve lectures of three hours duration. Normally these meetings will be held once per week for twelve weeks. However, if your needs are different, the planner will easily adapt to changes in length or frequency of classes. And, you may use the planner with or without an externship program.

     Best of all, the planner is integrated completely with our Power Point presentations. Note by note, slide by slide integration allows the best audio-visual presentations for your students.

     The planner includes a course syllabus, course schedule, classroom presentations, student homework, four section tests, three math tests, and a final examination that mimics the actual pharmacy technician certification examination.

Student Textbook

     This is one of the most famous technician training manuals in the nation! We use the PharmacyTrainer textbook that has helped over 13,000 students achieve their goal of becoming a certified pharmacy technician! With this text, there is no need to order multiple books. You, and your students, will save money.

     The book's more than 350 pages contain 45 chapters of information that take the student on a learning journey through both retail and institutional (hospital) pharmacy. Complete coverage compares and contrasts the differences between both pharmacy environments.      Each chapter contains a chapter quiz. There are four section tests that cover the chapters in each section. There is a final examination that mimics the actual PTCB examination.

     Since our textbook completely covers pharmacy math, there is no need to purchase additional titles. We start out with a review of fractions, decimals, and roman numerals and progress through all of the pharmacy calculations as they are needed in the student's studies. The math is not thrown at the student in a single anxiety producing chapter. Rather, we integrate the math into the pharmacy material so that when a need for a specific math calculation arises, it is brought into the curriculum at that point. By using this method, we insure that the student knows why, as well as how, they are using the calculation. Comprehension is increased dramatically and the fear associated with math is kept to a minimum.

     The textbook is available in three versions. The student book with tests is used when your instructor wishes to use their own tests in class. The section and math tests in the book may then be used as added practice by the student. Alternately, the book with tests may be ordered and the tests removed by the instructor before they are distributed to the students. That way, the exams are already printed and may be used in class.

     The student book without tests is for those instructors who have purchased the printable student file disk or those who would like to prepare their own examinations.

     The self-study textbook is useful for programs that do not have formal classroom meetings. They are perfect for high school or job workforce vocational training. They contain all of the practice tests.

Top 200 Drug Flash Cards

     The easiest way to learn important facts about the top 200 drugs used in the United States! Each of the flash cards contains five pieces of information: brand vs. generic name, pharmacological class, DEA schedule, available routes of administration, and the phonetic pronunciation of the generic name.

     The cards contain the current year's top 200 drugs, and change each year when the new list is developed.

Online Practice Problems

     Your students will have a true gauge to judge their knowledge when you offer them our online practice problems. Each subscription gives the student four months of unlimited access to the practice problem area of our web site.

     The student will answer the online challenge and the system will let the student know if the answer was correct. If not, the correct answer will also be displayed. You may view a sample of our questions by clicking here.
