What costs are involved in using the program?
For the one time licensing fee, you will receive a turn-key certified pharmacy technician training program. Once the license fee is paid, all you are charged for is student materials. (Text Book, Flash Cards, and/or Practice Problems) The materials are then re-sold to the students at a higher price than what you paid for them. Therefore, we don't cost you money, we MAKE you money!
What does the normal licensee charge their students for tuition?
Most schools that use the basic 36 hour lecture course charge their students between $799 and $999 for tuition. On top of that fee, they normally charge the student $89.95 for their text book, $25.95 for their Top 200 Drug Flash Cards, and $29.95 for their on-line PTCB Practice Problem subscription. That is a grand total of $945 to $1,145 per student.
Some schools add an externship or laboratory experience to their course. When this is the case, these schools usually charge between $1999 and $2399 per student. (plus student materials) When schools are in this price range, they are usually accepting student aid and loan payments.
How often do most schools run the class?
Recent changes by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board have included continuous testing that allows the student to take their certification examination at almost any time of their choosing. This means schools are no longer limited by the traditional 4 testing dates per year, and class schedules are up to the discretion of the school. How many class terms do YOU want to run per year? Many schools have multiple classes running on staggered start dates allowing for the smooth and even transitions of new students and graduates.
